Chief Executive Officer

Brooks Bryant holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services with a minor in Marriage and Family Counseling, as well as a Master of Science degree in Counseling and Psychology. He is certified as a Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper through the QPR Institute and as a Lifestyle Coach through The Balm in Gilead.

 

With over twenty-five years of progressive experience in the social services field, Mr. Bryant has consistently demonstrated a steadfast commitment to empowering underserved and marginalized populations. His extensive background in counseling, case management, and community engagement underscores his passion for helping individuals achieve stability, personal growth, and overall well-being.

 

In addition to his work in the nonprofit sector, Mr. Bryant has also served his community in an elected capacity as a City Councilman for Ward 3 in Greenwood, South Carolina. His tenure as a public official strengthened his dedication to civic engagement, policy advocacy, and creating equitable community resources that promote opportunity and inclusion for all residents.

 

As Chief Executive Officer of Project Care, Inc., Mr. Bryant provides visionary leadership rooted in compassion, integrity, and service. Under his direction, Project Care continues to expand its impact through strategic partnerships and evidence-based programs that address the complex needs of chronically homeless and housing-fragile individuals living with HIV/AIDS.

 

Mr. Bryant’s leadership is driven by a holistic approach—one that integrates housing, health, education, and advocacy—to foster self-sufficiency and reduce health disparities. His overarching mission is to slow the transmission of HIV/AIDS through increased awareness, targeted education, comprehensive supportive services, and accountability measures that promote long-term community wellness and empowerment.

Vanessa Johnson holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice. She has twenty-plus years of experience in property management and seven years in managing supportive housing programs. Her experiences working with vulnerable populations have equipped her with the case management skills to assist beneficiaries in reaching their goals and gaining access to resources in the community to maintain housing stability.

Senior Case Manager

Hiram Spain holds a Bachelor's degree in Marketing and Finance.

He has over twenty years of experience working in the public sector in various roles such as the SC Department of Social Services, the Greenville County School District and the Department of Health and Human Services. Hiram brings a wealth of knowledge to help beneficiaries navigate the social service agencies available in the community and utilize these resources to progress towards a better quality of life.
